This little spider was found in a back garden crawling around on the top of some plants. I just loved the colour so had to take the shot. A beautiful little creature.
I took this macro shot using a Marumi ring flash which allows a greater depth of field and also freezes the shot avoiding camera shake. However focus is critical at this distance so sturdy support is recommended. I prefer a monopod
as the subject is invariably moving.
Taken with Canon 1000D
and Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens
and a Marumi ring flash
