I spent a couple of hours looking for red/black tailed wasps on a local reserve and didn't find a great deal. On the way back home this Brimstone butterfly was fluttering by and stopped on a dandylion. This was the first time I had been around when one had actually stopped flying and it was just off the path on a grass bank. I managed to snap this one just before it flew off. I skipped all the way home.
I love taking pictures but these surprise oportunities are by far the best when they happen.
