Green shieldbug (Palomena prasina)

This is one of my favourite pictures mainly due to the detail of the patterning on the outer shell of this sheildbug. These guys are so well camouflaged when you compare the colour of the leaf it is on and how the exposed wing parts are like a dead leaf. It is good to get in close to the detail. This was taken in July this year and as with a lot of my pictures during my lunch break at the Stoneleigh Showground in Warwickshire, England.
