Soldier beetle (Cantharis rustica)

 

Back to our bugs with this soldier beetle. I thought it looked like a well worn chap feeling tired after all the climbing around. This picture was taken in July when that lovely sun was out and there were more insect than you could shake a stick at. Oh well, should be back again come spring time.
