This is a picture I took back in 2011 of a male and female Ichneumon wasp first spotted by my daughter while we were on holiday in Dartmoor, England.
The larger wasp has the ovipositor which may look dangerous but it is just the sheath that covers the ovipositor itself and is quite harmless.
